To be precise, it is “Long Distance Trail”, so-called “Long Trail”. It's a word that people who love the outdoors once heard.
Simply put, the long trail is home to North America, which has a vast area, and the United States is the home of it.
"Although it may pass near the peak of the mountain, it does not necessarily aim to aim at the peak of the mountain, but it walks a long distance around the natural road."
Is it so-called "mountain walking"? While climbing is a “mountain climb” that aims for the summit in the vertical direction, the trail walks in the horizontal direction.
Unlike the changes in the environment due to the elevation difference of several thousand meters, the trail walks a long distance in the lateral direction, so the changes in the environment such as deserts, forests, and highlands are great, and many animals and plants come together. And in the case of months, the seasons change.
In addition, there are three main categories: "Through hike", which walks thousands of kilometers at a stretch from start to finish, "Section hike", which walks the entire process by connecting several years together, and "Day hike" which is enjoyed on a day trip. There are different types of walking.
